twofer card challenge - hearts

It's taken a while, but I've got an entry for this month's Twofer Card Challenge. This month we're to use hearts. Ready for my twofer?

Heidi Swapp gold spray ink

See the cluster of hearts? Pretty normal that they make an appearance on a wedding card, right? Even if they're not only die cut, but also embossed. So here's my second make.

It's a birthday card with a whole slew of chickies sending wishes. Recognize their faces - yep those are carrol noses actually, from Layered Snowman. To tell you the truth, this card was already made for the March CUTplorations challenge (which is on a temporary winter break) where this was going to be the challenge graphic ;) Probably makes more sense now, eh?!?

How nice that the Twofer girls chose hearts for their theme this month!

Oops - still have to learn that I need a shot of both cards in one photo. Improvising here...

I'm also playing at:
AAA Cards - Only Die Cuts
ATSAM - #279 CAS
Happy Little Stampers CAS - Hearts
Memory Box - Hearts (2nd card)
Cards in Envy - Give it some Heart
Watercooler Wednesday - All About Occasions
Die Cut Divas - Love is in the Air

Oh how fun is that cluster of chicks, Maria! They sure made me smile, and what a great idea given the photo inspiration! I must say, your embossed heart cluster looks vastly different and oh so elegant on your wedding card! Thanks for joining in on the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

Love the way you've used your heart images in two very different ways. The wedding card is CAS and beautiful with those pretty clustered gold hearts and I love the fun way you captured those chickies from the inspiration photo in your second card. What fun! Thanks so much for joining us in the Watercooler Wednesday All About Occasions challenge this week.

We like to be of service, Maria! I'm so glad the prompt worked so well for you and I appreciate that you played along in Twofer Card Challenge #2! Your gold cluster of hearts, splatters, and striped gold vellum border are so striking on this sophisticated wedding card! And then you show the full range of your style and humor with your adorable cluster of chicks announcing that the party is about to start! Booya!! Hugs, Darnell

Hi Maria, both cards are so cleverly put together. Love that you used the same die-cut for each card. The elegance of the embossed foil for the wedding card is certainly the polar opposite of the adorable bunch of chickies into which those adaptable hearts turned in your second card. Great ideas and great cards. Thanks so much for entering them both into our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Such a creative duo! The wedding card looks elegant with a touch of artsy (love the embossed hearts)! Don't think anybody else made chicks out of their hearts! They are so fun the way they sit on the branch waiting for the party to begin!
Thanks for joining in at the Twofer!

Perfect use of those hearts on both of these awesome cards, Maria!! LOVE that wedding card - how sweet for newlyweds! The gold splatters, the striped vellum, and that ampersand work so well with the little cluster of embossed hearts. Very cool wedding card! And the chicks...oh my goodness what a clever way to make them! Hearts. Chicks. Coolness abounding!! Fabulous ideas. Fabulous cards. Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge!! Bev
