winnie walter and pinkfresh take three

I told you I was incredibly inspired by a bunch of DT cards over at the Share the Love week Winnie and Walter and Pinkfresh are doing. Well, I've a two-fer fer you today.

It was Lydia's second card from this post which inspired me to grab some PP and a cover plate die and go to town.

Needing a 70th birthday card for a man, sporty and young-at-heart - I came up with this.

Combined Multifaceted cover die with Pinkfresh Up in the Clouds PP. Lydia adhered her cover die cut over the PP. I went the inlaid route. Tedious (even though I tried to adhere the majority of the pieces straight onto sticky backed paper directly off the cutting plate, I still had to manually fiddle with lots of pieces!) But coolio.

I added the True Multifaceted Heart in white to ground my "70" (from MFT High Rise Numbers) and created my sentiment with MFT Bottle Cap Letters cut from cork. Added a little touch of gold polka dot washi to the lower right corner to tie in with the gold foil PP numbers.

Of course, when cutting the cover die from aqua CS, I had all the "innards" in aqua left over so I repeated the process in reverse. PP outline with solid facets. Except for a few which hadn't cut through all the way thanks to my haste and my warped cutting plates! So they got to stay in. On both cards.

Went for a birthday card this time using the True Multifaceted Heart behind the In a Word Hello die cut from the backside of the geometric PP and fun foam. Added a secondary sentiment from Sugar Rush on a smaller circle.

Hope your eyes didn't have spasms looking at these ;) You must check out the inspiration over at w&w! I'm not done yet!

A little reminder... Today is the last day to leave comments on my four Winnie and Walter Leading Lady posts (you can find them in the sidebar) if you want to be in the running for the GC giveaway and also on my birthday post giveaway!

I'm playing at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge where it's Anything Goes this week.

What a riot of gorgeous colour on both cards, Maria ... vibrant and so fun! Yummy gold and texture on the first ... love the contrast of the delicate die cut heart with the chunky hello on the second! Yep ... coolio (to coin a word!)! Hugs, Anita :)
