Notice the quote: Happiness is a butterfly... Thus my new embossing folder. Again. Twice. You decide which one you like better.
I made #1 first. By no means is it a fancy card... but for my taste it was too "heavy". Thus #2.
TIP: Use a square punch to make the "V" on a sentiment strip. Less wonky than snipping with scissors. And I'm too cheap to buy a die to do it for me.
TIP: No one likes having to make sympathy cards. But I enjoy using these stamps from Technique Tuesday when I have to. Very versatile.
Thanks for visiting.

both are perfectly lovely. the color scheme is soothing but hopeful too. love that for a sympathy card. that's a great embossing folder...saw it on ebay but didn't bite just yet ;)
Gorgeous cards Maria! Love the beautifully embossed butterflies! Thanks for joining along with CR84FN :)
Both cards are gorgeous and love those spring colours! Love the embossed butterflies - special designs!
Both are lovely Maria! I like the embossing on the dotty DP and the way you've incorporated the label in the stitching.
I like both versions, but actually am leaning towards #1. I'm a huge fan of kraft cardstock, and like the definition it lends to the embossed butterfly panel. BTW, didn't know that EF existed! I love it!
Pretty cards. I don't think I prefer one over the other. Both are beautiful. Ann Y.
I think both versions are just lovely, the butterflies are so sweet. I think I've a marginally favourite in #1! Thanks for playing along with CR84FN!
