altenew layered lily for a sympathy card

Summer programming...

Here's a sympathy card I made for a friend. I thought it fitting to CASE a card of hers.

Altenew inks
vellum
sponge daubers

On PP I made some splotches with various inks and sponge daubers. Heat embossed the sentiment onto vellum and stitched it loosely to the card front. Stamped the lily and spritzed with perfect pearl mix before adhering with foam tape. Subdued. Yet pleasant.

Back in Deutschland and getting caught up. End of the summer programming!

Welcome home, Maria! Your card is delicate and subtle ... love the clever imagery of the vellum covering the brightness of the panel beneath. Hugs, Anita :)

Creative and lovely design for a sympathy card, Maria. The stitched vellum over your patterned and inked base is truly brilliant! The lily is the perfect flower choice, too. I really, really like this card, and I'm sure your friend will appreciate it as well. Bev

Oh Maria! This card is the perfect balance between gray/sad and caring/uplifting. I tend to err on the side of sad, but you have inspired me to try harder! I love the pearl effects over the flower/leaves - just right!! Excellent work!!

Glad you're back home safe and sound, Maria. I love the colors peeking through the vellum to make a soft background that ties into the lily colors.
