Hope your Halloween/Reformation Day was happy and Happy All Saints' Day to you today. It's time for a new CASEplorations!
I actually went to my craft room to create without looking at Suchi's card again. What stuck in my mind were the black and white words with a rainbow colored bird. This is what happened.
I had such fun using the ARTplorations Happy and Company stencil and various Distress Inks with sponge daubers to create my background. Then I stamped the birdie from Small Birds and fussy cut him. I heat embossed "birthday" from Sentiment Builders: Celebrate on black CS and added both to my card. Voila!
Hope you are inspired to CASE Suchi or me or one of my teamies. Or pick one of the DT Inspiration Projects still to come during November. Hook up your creations in the Inspiration CASE Playground. It's open until December 5th. We'd love to see you there. You might be the lucky random winner or be chosen as one of our favorites.
Speaking of luck and random, I'm joining the Anything Goes fun at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
And as a little extra for you, a photo of the church door in Wittenberg, Germany where Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses 499 years ago...
Last weekend DH and I stopped to see it on our way to this wonderful city...

Hi Maria. Very creative take on Suchi's beautiful card. xx
Love your take on Suchi's card, Maria! So colorful and graphic! Thanks for playing along with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
OH MY goodness, Maria, this is SO adorably sweet!
Fabulous background & card design.
Love the darling birdie & sentiment.
What a colorful take on Suchi's card! Love your ombre sponging.
Great take on Suchi's card!! That stencil is amazing, and since I have empty space in my credenza, I just might have to do a little shopping, lol! Gorgeous colors and so smart to 'reverse' her design. I was actually in this church for a service a million years ago. We lived near Trier when I was a little girl. I think, if I remember correctly, that I was naughty in church that day, and my dad made us leave before the end of service... Pretty sure I got a sound spanking too. Anyway, your card is pretty darn cool!! Love it. Bev
Love your colourful text stencil background - and that cute little birdie ;) Loved seeing all your Berlin photos too!
Oh, you are clever and toooo funny! Love your 'transposed' black and white bird, who's fluttered his way to a rainbow of happy! Your photos have me wanting to go for a wee trip...somewhere warm *grin*
Hugs~c
