This month I'm creating cards using a design I love but rarely remember to use. It's great for one layer cards. Recognize it? The split design with a sentiment in the masked middle area.
You can achieve this look in multiple ways. Today I've used die cuts. Which means my card's not one layer, but the overall look is the same.
Feathery stamp
embossing powder, vellum
I die cut the feathers and heat embossed them. Then I arranged them, picked them up with a long strip of washi and adhered them to double sided adhesive on my cardbase. Added the sentiment on a strip across the middle. (Had to change the "masked area for sentiment" to "add sentiment strip across middle" to cover up the die cut ends.)
For further inspiration with this stamp set check out this card. Or this one.
