But at Creativeworld in Frankfurt last weekend I was totally smitten with the Rico Design booth and their use of neon coral. And I discovered their neon watercolor palette. So I came home and ordered it. And played with it.
In the booth there was a sample - someone had painted some words with the neon coral. So after perusing hand lettering on instagram, I gave it my best and came up with this set of cards. (I used the stamp set to drive my choice of words to hand letter.)

Copic C3 marker

I apologize for the grayness of the photos. It's cloudy here today and I didn't want to brighten the photos too much. I tried to keep the neon as true to life as possible for you, but the coral (oh that coral!) and the orange are 10x better IRL ;)
These watercolors are so cool. Truly neon. And if you don't use too much water, really opaque.
Thanks for coming by again today. Hope you enjoyed my post. I'm joining the Anything Goes fun at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and the Anything Goes Challenge at ATSAM.

ooohhh...I'm a fan of neon and love your projects Maria.
Sounds like a fun exercise, and you did well, Maria - my favorite is the first one. I like the way you added the sentiments on black strips, and your doodling, too! Thanks for playing with us once again at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
WOW ! This is fabulous Maria ! Don't be to hard with yourself, your handwriting is just beautiful and with those neon colours it's amazing ! A wonderful array of CAS cards ! Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at ATSM.
Beautiful CAS cards! I love the bold colors! Thanks so much for joining us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge :)
They are brilliant! I haven't the guts to try hand lettering, but in the neon colours they are so bright and bold. They look effortless xx
Oh my, you were at Frankfurt, Maria ... you were most restrained only ordering the neon watercolours as a result of your visit! Beautifully used btw ... striking, fun, contemporary ... fabulous! Hugs, Anita :)
