wedding wishes (pleated ribbon)

This Week's Tuesday Trigger

 OK, so the idea was cake. And Fancy Schmancy.  Adios pink and brown. But I love this card anyway.  I saw a photo (don't know where) of a cake with a "ruffled" tier and a banner.  Loved the idea and wanted to use it for this card for a local winemaker who's marrying a guy from New Zealand.

Used a fun technique on this one.  The bottom panel is watercolor paper, heat embossed and then  painted with color blocks of Distress Inks mixed with water.  This was a technique from Papertrey.

Ink: Cats Eye
Other: embossing folder (Draft Concepts), satin ribbon, doublesided tape, scrap silver paper, digital cake stand (123RF), sewing machine

Paper:   watercolor paper, PP Usurus; vintage book
Stamps:  Stampendous, other
Ink: Distress Ink,  Cats Eye
Other:   wooded duck, twine

gorgeous cards my friend! i'm thinking that first card might just take the show! and, that technique on the 2nd card is so pretty and ethereal...i have to give it a try. beautiful designs :)
