Hmmm, what to do with it without just reproducing it. The photo spoke to me and said "heart=love=wedding". And gotta do something with the red thread and gold pin...
Have the "Word Up" set from PS and decided to combine "best wishes Mr and Mrs". So, who should be the Mr and Mrs? How about the little birdie from Kim's CHF "Mocha Chica". But I need two. How about stamping a mirror image like Jessica explains here. Went with peachy colored PP for the birdies. Gave Mrs. red lips and eyelashes.
Was originally going to use kraft but then decided on gray CS. I think it works better with the reddish tones here. And definitely with the gold, but more on that later...
Incorporated the red thread with stitched phone lines. (Decided to stitch one peach, not sure if that was a good idea.) TIP: used a drafting compass to lightly pencil lines before stitching.
Stamped the sentiment with black first, but it didn't come out perfectly due to the CS texture. SO, decided to restamp with Versamark (thank goodness for clear stamps!) and then heat emboss with gold. Got my gold in!
The heart (from crepe paper) just seemed necessary.
What bugs me a little about this card? Mr. is perched a bit above Mrs. Not my take on life, FYI - DH already knows this case he's reading. Just a design thing.
Happy weekend.

eeeek! This is so fun! LOVE the gold embossing too!
Love the use of stitching in this card--the stitching really makes sense, not just decorative. Paper piecing the peach parts is so sweet too.

Very cute card, the stitching is great. Thanks so much for joining us at Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge :)
This card is just darling!!! Never really got the cold here in Ireland this year... lucky compared to last year!! Daffodils are starting to bloom now and even some cherry blossoms... poor Mother Nature is confused!
