guest designing at ATSAM

I'm excited to be joining the folks over at Addicted to Stamps and More after winning a challenge a couple weeks ago.

The theme for this fortnight is an easy one - Birthday.

I made a card for a little cousin who happens to love hedgehogs. I used a die, a background I made with leftover Easter egg dye (!) and a stamp.

Pop over to the Addicted to Stamps and More blog for more inspiration. Thanks for having me as a guest, Kylie.

simon says stamp classic bicycle - girly version

Have you checked out Simon Says Stamp Good Vibes release?

I've got two cards made with one of the fun dies from this release - Classic Bicycle. Today's are fun and feminine fantasy bikes. Wouldn't you have loved a watercolor bike as a kid? Heck, even today!

To create my fantasy bike I first pulled out a watercolored-with-leftover-Easter-egg-dye piece (I used the lower left panel in the photo on that blog post!) and die cut the bike from it. Then I decided to perch a fun-loving poodle on it and fill up the white space with a giant sentiment, cut from the same watercolored piece. Basta.

For the next card I die cut the bike from Neenah CS and Copic colored it with a fantasy pattern in pink, purple and yellow. Right down to those thingies on the spokes... What were they called?

As if it wasn't already girly enough - how about that debossed heart BG on the white panel ;)

Thanks for visiting. Come back tomorrow for my rainbow versions ...
And be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp blog for the release blog hop today.

hello baby tag

Like I mentioned yesterday, we've got new babes in the 'hood. To go with the card, I made this gift tag with more leftovers from my Easter egg dye dipping session and a touch of gold.

STAMPlorations Hello word die
gold foil cardstock
gold metallic thread

Perhaps you can see how I dip-dyed the tag. Dipped the 2/3 in pink (now the top). And then I rotated the tag and dipped 2/3 in yellow (now the right). The upper right section is a bit orange from the mix of pink and yellow. Fun, eh?

For the stork I dipped the whole thing once. Then only 3/4. Then 1/2. And finally just the legs one last time to create the ombre effect.

hello baby

We've got new babes in the 'hood. How about you? Think it's a spring thing?!? I made this card with more leftovers from my Easter egg dye dipping session and a touch of gold-foiled PP.

PP
cotton twine

I stamped the cardbase with triangles using Delicata gold ink. Die cut a tag from the PP and adhered the dip-dyed pieces on top. Voila!
