layers and stencils with winnie and walter

I'm having fun (like every year) with the WCMD challenges over at Winnie and Walter.

I've given Keren's challenge to layer a go. In my dreams I'd produce a Lea Lawson dreamy creation with lots of layers. In reality I was happy to use my new Radial Stitched Circle Stax and use up some PP!

Not sure if that little birdie from So Tweet looks to be resting on a tree top or tumbling out of a plane (with her aviator hat on). Colored her with Copics. The sentiment is from Sentimental: Winter. And look - there're five layers!

Next a masculine birthday card for you, CASEing myself. Got some layers and stenciling happening on this one.

First I die cut Hello and Confetti from some leftover cardstock I'd marbled with shaving cream. Glued the die cut confetti onto my card. Then I applied embossing paste through the die cut negative, offset slightly.

Added another layer by popping the "hello" up on fun foam. And added an embossed "birthday boy" from Sugar Rush on a snippet.

I'm playing at:
WW - Stenciled Challenge with Kate
The Crafter's Cafe - Use Dies or Punches
Always Fun - Lots of Layers
Little Red Wagon - Leftovers
Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with Die Cuts Oct

Goodness, your mojo is really motoring, Maria ... that sweet little birdie is so cute spotlighted in all those layers ... and what a cool, texture-y, dimensional look you created to surround that fabulous hello! Hugs, Anita :)

Your shaving foam card is just superb! I love the layout diagonally across the card and the way you've used the embossing past to add even more texture on top. It's fabulous! Such a brilliant card. Xx

Thankyou for entering the Lovely Layers challenge with Winnie & Walter! Love your layering- I think we both had a challenge- it's so hard when you're not used to it- but you did a fabulous card and I love the other one too! x
