Here's my take on the call for non-traditional colors and non-Christmas supplies:
I had this card (second one in post) in mind when I was creating. To tell ya the truth, I probably wouldn't send this as my Christmas card. I'm more of a red and green gal when it comes to the holidays ;)
I've got lots of laundry and blog visiting to do - have to see what everyone's been up to this summer. And half-a-suitcase full of stamps that need to be categorized and USED. Come and get me mojo...
p.s. I'm hooking up at the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge where the theme is Sheer and Clear. Don't you just love playing with vellum?!?!?
Supplies good cheer:
Paper: CS Neenah, vellum
Stamps: homemade craft foam star, sentiment Paper Smooches
Ink: pigment Cat's Eye
Tools:sewing maching, star die Sizzix

Super cute card, dearie!! :)
Love those soft colours with the vellum - perfect for the Paper Smooches challenge. Can't wait to see what stamps you brought back with you!
I do love playing with vellum! I'm glad to have you back and I'm sorry about your pinky toe, Maria! I am swooning over this amazing card! It is genius how you solved the problem of attaching free-standing vellum pieces by stitching them to your card!!
Have fun unpacking and getting back to card making. Can't wait to see your NBUS!!
Oh, Maria...I'm lovin' this design!!! (So sorry about the pinky toe!)
Beautiful soft colours Maria - the stitching is a great way to attach vellum onto the card, but it also adds something special to the whole design. Absolutely love it!

Back in Germany - I am envious! I only had two weeks, but you probably feel the other way around.....
I do love vellum & I love your card!
This card is fantastic, and what a happy way to end your "parade of rejects"...which by the way, I thoroughly enjoyed (even if they weren't in magazine format). :)
Loving the soft vellum stars Maria, what a pretty, contemporary crimbo card!!
A load of new stamps sounds fun, I would do exactly the same on a holiday across the pond :0)

[sigh] I love this one so much. The vellum is a PERFECT compliment to your generational stars. What a great eye you have, Maria. I just read the first part of your blog post title (the "reject" part) and I was starting to get really mad, and kind of doubting my own tastes. Thankfully, it has a happy ending : )
