You may remember I was on a bokeh kick awhile back. Well bokeh met stars for this card.
I stamped the bokeh dots on the cardbase and then adhered vellum between the base and the textured and die cut CS. Added sequins like the night stars and one star "falling" with the sentiment. "Wishes", as in "wish on a falling star." I kinda liked the idea. But the mag didn't.
I was happy to get some constructive criticism on this one and was told that the sentiment didn't really fit the theme and it was hard to read. OK. Back to the drawing board.
I tweaked this guy and tried again. Just keep watching.
I'm joining the Christmas in July fun over at CAS on Sunday as well as at The Paper Players #153.. Join in.
Supplies warm wishes:
Paper: CS Bringmann, American Crafts, vellum
Stamps: sentiment Penny Black
Ink: Hero Arts, Adirondack, Versamark
Tools: die Sizzix
Other: crochet thread, sequins

So pretty! Love the bokeh stamping behind the vellum with the textured cardstock!
At least they gave you some feedback :) I love how the sequins look like they've floated out of the star - like bokeh bubbles.
Beautiful bokeh stamping and gorgeous colors!
I quite like this one. I love the bokeh effect behind the vellum, and the texture of the cardstock. It's soft and lovely. Not a reject in my book! Bev
Well I think they're all nut jobs!! I would be over the moon to print all of your stunning creations if I had a magazine to do so! Awesome, as ever, Maria!!
Love your design! Such a great card!
I like the sequins and the vellum under the cut out star looks like there are twinkling lights under it
Great card, Maria. Love that cut out star with the vellum. Thank you for joining us at CAS on Sunday. Luv, Wilma
