two takes on songbirds (SCS)

I've made two more cards for HYCCT over at Splitcoast Stampers.  The first is for #1213 "Hope is the Thing".  As in "with feathers."

Hope is the thing with feathers

That perches in the soul

And sings the tune without the words

And never stops at all.

Flashback to my days as an English major...Thank you Emily Dickinson.  

Feathers + perches = bird on a branch from Sizzix.  Die cut it from two different PPs and adhered over a splash of sky created with misted Distress Ink on an acrylic block.  Just added one of PTI's wonderful sentiments.  I think this card really reflects hope.

The second challenge, #1221 is called "Clearly Hopeful."  Clear = acetate.

I've done this before.  This time it's a sunrise sky.  Love this birdie from Tim Holtz.  Paired with alcohol inky goodness, a bit of texture and distresssing, and a die cut frame.  Just a notecard this time.
