day 3 STAMPlorations spotlight - Noteworthy

Welcome to day 3 of Spotlight Week - five new sets, one to be spotlighted each day this week. Ready?

Here is today's set - Noteworthy - another great handwritten set designed by Shery R.

Here is what I did with it when I saw "reach for the stars". Remember this card by Julie E. over at The Classroom? Well I blatantly CASEd it!

Check out Julie's video to see how it's done. Sooooo easy (but you will get really inky fingers ;) I used Studio Calico rub-on gold stars. And hit my moon with some Wink of Stella. See it twinkling in the photo below?

I love all the sentiments in this set. And the mix of fonts used with the handwriting. Check out what the other gals did with it, including our special guest this week, Darnell K. of the Playhouse. Hop around and leave comments by April 27th, there are great prizes up for grabs!

Have you been fooled yet today?  It's CASEplorations time over at STAMPlorations today and that's no joke. We've got a bold and beautiful orange beauty up for the CASEing this month and you're going to love what the STAMPlorations gals have done with it. Check out the post here.

We're CASEing Kimberly Wiener of wienerhoneymooners. If you haven't visited her blog you definitely should. Kimberly is on multiple design teams and is constantly creating and sharing colorful, gorgeous, expressive cards for them. Check out this beauty we've chosen to CASE.

I've used one of the oldies but goodies from the Subway Art series, Mom Subway Art Builders #2 for a Mother's Day card. Or just to let Mom know she's a great lady.

Orange? Check. Blue? Check. Light and airy die cuts? Check. I used a spray of roses in the BG instead of a rabble of butterflies! But doesn't the blue ribbon kinda resemble a butterfly? And the circles on it mimic the water spots on Kim's Distress inked BG.

I added a strip of washi along the bottom of the tag to fill the empty space and chose gold/black striped from MME Nob Hill in a nod to the striped and gold ribbons Kim used as banners.

it ain't over...

... 'til the watercolored paper is used up.

Following the same card design and AAA Cards Challenge #32 I created this.

Decided to use the "love" to create a sympathy card this time. Die cut Amy Tangerine Associate "love" from my bolder watercolored paper. Selectively inked a sentiment from Altenew Ori Kami. And called it quits.

Next card was created with the current Lawnscaping challenge in mind.

I love the "be unique" sentiment from Clear to See. I just changed it up a bit, using my QuicKutz Monogram U die. TIP: If you try this design, stamp the sentiments before adhering the stacked die cuts so that your die cut doesn't interfere with your acrylic block.

I'm playing in the current Cards and More challenge #125 - Turquoise, Purple and Gray - with both cards.

Warning. The watercolored paper ain't used up yet...

simply create too 75

Challenge #75 at Simply Create Too is easy peasy this time of the year. "Snow, snow, snow" or "Make a card with just white" are the themes.

This is what I made.

Make card from CS. Trim watercolor paper panel. Apply Distress inks (blues and lilac) to large acrylic block, spritz with Perfect Pearls/water mixture and press block onto spritzed paper. When dry, die cut Kesi Art Flocons snowflake from panel, saving all tiny pieces. Die cut snowflake from chevron PP.  Adhere double sided tape to copy paper, adhere watercolor panel, snowflake and all tiny pieces. Adhere aluminum tape to scrap paper and die cut Kesi Art Avent sentiment. Adhere to panel. Adhere panel to card with dimensional adhesive. Punch snowflakes and adhere with sequins.

Voila!
