Went to CASe this Sketch and saw this.
And the code word at Addicted to CAS is
So it was pretty easy to come up with this card thanks to Winnie and Walter Big, Bold and Comfort and its die.
Then I checked out CAS Mix Up and CASology.
Out came the watercolors in soft shades of gray to make more ombre backgrounds and these cards were born. They are going to DH's cousins who lost their mom.
Notice the yellow in the last card? That was in a nod to the November Altenew challenge which celebrates Summer in the Winter - like my Schneewittchen rose that blooms into December in my yard. Sympathy cards in Germany tend to stick to black and white, but Tante Hilde was a bubbly gal so I think a spot of yellow is allowed amidst the gray.
Thanks for coming by today. Have a great Thanksgiving if you're celebrating. Eat some turkey and sweet potatoes (and stuffing and beans and cranberry relish and pumpkin pie and cornbread muffins....) for me too, will ya?

Three very beautiful and creative sympathy cards Maria. Sorry to hear about your DH's aunt, but know that special hand made cards are sure to let his cousins know how much you both are thinking about them. Thanks for sharing at CAS Mix Up. xx
Gorgeous sympathy cards, Maria! I love how you created the ombre effect on your first card, and your color combo is beautiful! Loving all of your beautiful watercoloring on your last two cards! Great job combining challenges, too! So glad you played along with us this week at Addicted to CAS!
Both of these masked cards are amazing, Maria! I love the snowy scene! I can almost feel the cold wind blowing! And the leaves are so pretty! I'm sure your Tante would love the bit of yellow! Thanks so much for sharing these with us at CAS Mix Up!
All beautiful cards, Maria. I'd say your mojo is just fine!

So sorry to read about the loss in your family. Beautiful cards for somber occasions.
These are the most beautiful sympathy cards I have ever seen Maria!
Such serenity and elegance!
I'm thinking of you on this Thanksgiving Day and sending you big hugs~
Stylish and chic, Maria, all three are wonderful ... the grey and white pair (with a touch of yellow) had me gasping ... they're beautiful ... serene with a real sense of the ethereal, so perfect for sympathy cards. Hugs, Anita :)
I'm sorry you are in need of sympathy cards, Maria. I find them hard to make on demand, but these are all lovely and unique, especially the ombre white & gray one in the middle. Thanks for joining us at CASology this week!

3 lovely sympathy cards, Maria & I needed some inspiration as I have one to make, too. Really love the last one--beautiful & totally appropriate!
Very beautiful sympathy cards, they are so hard to make.
Warm hugs

Such beautiful cards here Maria, what a great selection you made. Sympathy cards are always the hardest to make aren't they!.....re your question about coloured digi images. Yes I use coloured ones or else I colour them myself using layers of other digi images and change the colours myself. HTH ;) Viv xx
