Ready for more "Shakespeare meets punk" (in other words the weirder the better)? Here's what I've created for today's STAMPlorations inspiration post.
A groovy shoe colored with pink and red Zig clean color brush pens and some water. Then partially glitzed up with some Wink of Stella. Grounded with some purple die cut hearts. Mounted on a die cut rectangle of super old beige PP with raised velvety blooms. Mounted on another old PP that reminds me of Victorian times too.
Perhaps I should call this one "Shakespeare does the 70s". Liberating, I tell ya. Just grab those funky elements and put 'em together. Anything goes.
I added some groovy blooms, also from Groovy Shoes to the card base. Spritzed them with Perfect Pearls/water mix to soften them up and give the cardbase some sheen too. The sentiment (from World Birthday Cakes) is heat embossed with some of my newly won WOW! embossing powder in lilac.
My inspiration?
Now maybe it all makes a little more sense ;) Did you notice I even worked two little rhinestones (remember those?) into my design. Just couldn't work that strand of sequins in anywhere. But I thought about it!!!
Weird rules. Just keep watching ;)
I'm taking this card to these fun challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - At the Movies (Have you ever seen Godspell? I loved it as a teen and recently watched it again after years. The costuming couldn't be any groovier)
A Blog Named Hero - Texture (velvety PP, heat embossing, bling)
CASual Fridays - Dimension and Bling
Cut It Up - Die cut and Watercolor

Another fabulous example of translating fashion to cardmaking! Will Shakespeare would be proud of your artistic licence!
That's a fun card :) Beautiful!
Even your flowers look like a match to the photo! This card is really far out!

Yep, this is pretty fun! Love the matches between the picture and the card especially the carpet with the floral piece right under the shoe! Your watercolor is perfect for our watercolor challenge over at Cut It Up; thanks for joining us!

Cool and groovy, Maria ... and beautifully put together! Even if I had such funky elements to grab, there's no way they'd be so beautifully balanced and deliciously eclectic! Hugs, Anita :)
