more altenew fun and giveaway

When making yesterday's card, I made a second one at the same time. Well, actually using up some extra pieces I'd punched. Trying to do this more often and it's quite fun. The second card tends to take on a life of its own, but it's still quicker than starting from scratch. Carson R.'s fabulous debut post as leading lady at Winnie and Walter inspired me to give this modus operandi a try.

Meet my second card.

I used some autumnal images from Thankful stamps from Essentials by Ellen (see GIVEAWAY below) and Striped Florals from Altenew. Go together nicely, don't they? One image is stamped in brown. Heat embossed a few images gold. Added some aqua Gansai Tambi messy watercolor and then punched squares.

My sentiment is a portion of Essentials by Ellen Many Thanks die cut from gold foil. The colors are truer in this next photo - and you can see the gold sparkle.

Arranged the squares in a wonky pattern this time and adhered them with a dab of matt medium. I'd added Delicata gold stripes to the cardbase prior using Papertrey Ink Watercolor Wonder. Again I was inspired by the Pin-Sights challenge over at Ellen Hutson.

I'm also joining the fun at:

Papertrey Make it Monday - #261 Using Florals on a Masculine project though I'm not so sure about the gold for a guy. Probably depends on the guy ;)

And the Ultimate Challenge blog hop sponsored by Altenew.

1000 posts is an impressive milestone! Congratulations...and here's to 1000 x 1000 more to come! Loving this 'cousin' to your previous card; the 'scattered' images are particularly eye-catching! Thankful for everything I've been blessed with, but today's 'particular' one: saw a posting for my dream job. Anxious about applying, but I'm going to hitch up those big girl britches and go for it! Prayers...I'd be grateful if some of those came my way! Of course, you know I'm thankful for YOU...your creativity, your wit, your friendship!
Hugs~c

This card is equally as glorious as the last, Maria ... it's amazing that even with the similar elements, they're so different from one another. Either way, I love them both! Many congratulations on 1000 posts ... wow, what an encyclopedia of inspiration! I have a fun 'thankful for' today ... a trio of baby hedgehogs that have taken up residence in one of our lavender beds ... so cute ... and they'll eat all the bad bugs! Hugs, Anita :)

I really like this design for cards - those bitty squares look great! And the stamps really do go well together, don't they - I really thought that were from one stamp set!!
I wonder if I can top what Anita is thankful for - but I guess I thankful for my supporting family..they are really awesome! :)
