Well I decided to pull out this oriole (which is just a larger version of the one in The Birds and The Blooms) and "rainbow" him.
Hmm, let's "imagine" he is as cool as the "rainbowed" wedding cake, OK? Trying to figure out why he's not ... besides my lack of watercoloring skills. The technique is definitely easier with a heat embossed image. And watercolor paper probably helps! The image might be kinda large too. I used Fossilized Amber and Shabby Shutters and probably should have used brighter yellow and green. I didn't use Picked Raspberry, and man, Picked Raspberry makes anything look good! And I probably should have left the inked areas alone instead of adding watercolor over them. (In case you're thinking of giving "rainbowing" a go.)
Anyhoo, I added a sentiment from Vignette Artful Flutters and some cork chevrons pointing the way to it. Oh and splatters. Lots of them. Had to use up the ink that was on my acrylic block palette ;)

So cool. You are a trend setter Maria. I love your rainbow bird, but can imagine it was difficult to do with no-line watercolouring. I think you did great! And I LOVE those cork chevrons ... and the splatters. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up! xx
Lovely rainbow bird
I guess you are now into rainbows - what happened to stripes? cool card!
