Finally took the time (I'm actually procrastinating on another project) to play at Jackie R.'s new Muse, where we're to be mused by the Monday muse. This is Marion V.'s card for inspiration:
There was (as there often is) a creative journey behind my card. I'll share it with you tomorrow. There were actually two other cards born before this one. But let me say that I was mused by Marion's colors, washi, use of dies and Debby H.
Do you get a Debby H. vibe on this? Suffice it to say I had an idea, but it didn't work like I'd planned. The birch bark paper came to mind (maybe that's what makes my card limedoodley?!?!?) so I tried a better placement of my die and am happy with the result. Tomorrow you'll see what I mean...

p.s. I know birch bark grows the other way. Creative liberty, ya know ;)

Love your Muse card....great design and fun colors too!
I love how you channeled Debby, and yet have made it your own. Sweet sequin and glitter paper under the negative die cut flower. Wonderful colors too. And the birch paper adds the perfect anchor. This is so fun! Bev
Maria, this is STUNNING! It caught my eye at CASE study~
Simply stunning! The colours are so bold, great work.
This is absolutly fabulous
This is really cute. Love the bright colors.
This takes my breath away! Just love it!
Wow! That washi background is hot! And the birch strips perfectly balances it. So cool!
This card is seriously RAD!!!!!!
Love what you did to that die! I have it, so will have to CASE you!
What a wonderful take from the inspiration. Love how you have die cut the image through the washi, it's so clever.
Thanks so much for sharing at Muse this week!
Beautiful card Maria. I love all of the bright colors. It just makes me smile. Thanks for sharing. :)
That sequin is just the right touch. I've been seeing lots of people use them lately and wouldn't you know I can't find the box in my stash. I think a shopping trip is in order. I just love the way you used the washi tape to create your shape. The birch background ROCKS too!!!
Oh I love this! The reversed die looks awesome and the birch background is fabulous! Really great interpretation of the Muse card!!
Awesome! I love your take on my card - especially the the die cut flower on the focal panel! Very clever.
I love how you took the striped pattern to a die cut! And then die cut a die cut, I love that technique! Beautiful card! :)
