I revisited a technique we all know but rarely do - make a DIY stamp from a die using craft foam.
For my first card I used the lower right die. Cut it from black foam, adhered it to an acrylic block with temporary adhesive and stamped using Distress Inks. Foam stamps don't give the best coverage when you use dye ink. I spritzed the CS before stamping to help the ink soften/spread. Love the look.
I added splatters with watered down ink then dragged a paintbrush with some glue across the bottom and on a couple splatters and applied gilding flakes for a fabulous midas touch. Added a tiny heat embossed sentiment too.
You can also use pigment inks on foam stamps if you don't like the artsy look of the spritzed dye inks. I used Amuse pigment inks in Heather, Burano and Watermelon on this card.
Hope you're enjoying this series. I'll be back with a great little floral die tomorrow. Thanks again to Team Spellbinders for Heart like a Wildflower to create with. I'm joining in at:

Stamping with dies - so clever and a great way to stretch your dies! I love your stamping both with Distress Ink and pigment inks!
Both beautiful cards. I love how you used the stamp in the first card to create such a fiery display. Beautiful with embossing. Thanks so much for joining our Feminine Anything Goes challenge at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
So interesting how different both cards are, lovely! Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges!
Fabulous cards both of them Maria and what a great idea to use a die cut and make a stamp with it, I will have to try that out! Love your vibrant coloured flowers on the card you shared with us over at 'The Flower Challenge',and we hope to see you again there soon ;) Viv DT xx
Gorgeous cards Maria! They are so elegant and pretty.

Yes I am, Maria ... enjoying this series that is! These are both lovely ... what a great technique (that I've not used yet) ... the effect is deliciously dreamy with both inks, though I am rather taken with that that first spritzed one with the gold trim ... so soft and feminine! Hugs, Anita :)
So clever! I've seen this technique and never tried it - really you make the end result look so good. I particularly like the watercolour effect ones. xx
Both techniques are very pretty. Beautiful colours. Thank you for joining us at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge - Charlotte/Lady Joyful, DT
