Something made me go check out PDCC125 again and heavens, I'm nearly late, late, for a very important date! Earlier today I had been checking out the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge and unusual for the ladies over there (but right up my alley) they are looking for one-layer cards.
So I pulled out the rabbit and my new WMS stamps. Had a rough idea for a design but needed to choose a pattern. Went with herringbone cuz it reminds me a bit of the fencing in the PDC image.
As for the sentiment, I wanted to use WMS too. Nothing like time pressure (it is 11 p.m. here) to make me work a bit faster. I pulled out the Say It Loud sentiments and when I saw the "bonny new" I decided it was to become a baby card. "Bonny" ... like "bunny"... like it's time for me to go to bed!
TIP: When you generation stamp, if you've inked up the whole stamp but not stamped the entire stamp, line up the stamp properly when doing the second generation stamping or you'll get some first and second generation mix. See that last little herringbone on the right... oopsy.
Oh my ears and whiskers, how late it's getting...
Supplies a bonny new baby:
Paper: CS
Neenah
Stamps:
BG and sentiment WMS, rabbit Crafty Secrets
Ink:
black Versafine, Versamagic

Ooo you had the perfect stamps for that challenge! Love the houndstooth and funny bunny for a baby card! This makes a great one layer wonder!
Such a sweet card with the rabbit ,and the houndstooth goes so well. Great one layer!
This is fab, a great take on both these challenges!
Love the brown and black colors on this sweet baby card Maria - what a fun rabbit! thanks for playing with the WMS sketch this week!
This is lovely! That rabbit image is wonderful! Thanks for sharing this with us at WMSC! :)
Super sweet and very dashing great use of the one layer!
How ever did I miss this when doing my PDCC rounds?? I love it! The bunny image is so vintage-looking, and I like your play on words (bonny/bunny). Such an adorable baby card!
Thanks for playing with us at The Play Date CAfe. (there, my official 'thanks')
ANd now, my *other* thank you: I received your package today! Oh, my word, did you ever surprise me, Maria! I LOVE everything in it, and will carefully use only bits of that paraphernalia at a time, so I don't use it up too quickly. :) As soon as I saw your feather/arrow card, it clicked who this was from. You are too, too kind! Thanks for the encouragement on my diet. And you are most welcome for the comments I leave to you! I'm only sorry I don't get around as often as I'd like.
HOw did you find me? Big hugs, and Happy Easter!
Glad it arrived. And that it found you. Wasn't 100 percent sure it would.
Just call me Sherlock... Watched your Operation Write Home segment and they mention your town. Googled for address. Made an educated guess.
I could have asked you directly, but that would have spoiled the surprise :)
Beautiful card!!!
