wcmd fun with winnie and walter

and Pinkfresh Studio! Honest... I wasn't really into WCMD until I saw that Winnie and Walter was having their fabulous challenge party again. I also saw that Pinkfresh is spreading holiday cheer (donating profits from a holiday stamp set and heading up a card drive). So I decided to join the two and do some creating. Good thing DH was busy with soccer ;)

Here are my three Christmas cards which will go off to the Holiday Project card drive.

Meet #1. I used the Pinkfresh PP I have. Chose this pattern cuz it reminds me of Christmas trees. Dressed up my scribble tree and sentiment die cuts with some stamping and or heat embossing and even some silver star sequins on the "hugs" where the multifaceted lines intersect. Added "Christmas" to a chipboard piece to complete the sentiment. Entering this into Gayatri's Dress Up Your Die Cuts challenge at WW.

#2 was inspired by Crystal's Black and White Backgrounds challenge. I chose a PP for that and added a collage of die cuts and stickers.

Ah yes. And then came Heather's CAS challenge. I was totally inspired by one of Heather's examples and even worked in Lea's Ink Blending challenge on this one by masking a portion of the card and brushing on red tones of DI. A Pinkfresh sentiment topped with a gold sequin star completes my design.

Did you have a chance to create something on WCMD? Did you maybe even have a chance to get together with crafty friends? If so, lucky you ;) Happy rest of the weekend to you.

ETA: Also taking these over to the WCMD link up at Simon Says Stamp! Did you know WCMD was first created to get us cardmakers making Christmas cards before the big rush? Has it worked for you?!?

Fabulous Maria signature style cards! Love that first one ❤️. Spent World Cardmaking Day at the stamp festival in Port Sunlight with crafty friends. Didn’t have anything on my wishlist - dangerous!

Great cards, Maria... of course my heart belongs to the last one! Fabulous ombré with one of my favorite stencils and a perfect placement for a twinkling sentiment! Also love all the bright white in your photos!
