STB - january 1 2024

Starting out my 2024 STB memory planner in true Maria fashion. Lotsa photos. How to house 'em?

We got to enjoy an unexpected week getaway in Bavaria. For this load of photos I concocted a multi-sided flip out (or whatever it's called). Another engineering feat figuring out what to adhere in what order! My brain doesn't do 3D thinking well at all.

BUT, it loves designing with stash. Alpha stamps. Circles. Stickers. Heidi Swapp STB goodies. That's what's in my Heidi Swapp STB memory planner this week. 

In case you're wondering about that photo on the right? Sunday was a take-it-easy day. As in, that's a bath bomb dissolving ;)

 

STB december 25 2023

Bye bye 2023 in my STB memory planner. It's a wrap! And oh what fun it is to flip back through all those pages and revisit the year!

Since we got to enjoy an unexpected getaway for a week after Christmas, this became a photo heavy spread. So I used my engineering talents (ha!) to create an accordion fold out to house them. I used a map of the area of Bavaria where we vacationed to do it. Otherwise, I kept my layout very grid-y.

Alpha stamps. Heidi Swapp STB goodies. Doodling. And lots of photos in my Heidi Swapp STB memory planner this week. What a way to finish up the year. Makes me very happy.

 

STB - december 18 2023

Finally we're nearing the end of my 2023 STB memory planner!

Christmas week. I know some of you manage to document the entire December. Daily. I'm happy just to have made it this far. 

Do you ever use mix and match letters in your spreads? I pulled out my box of off-cut alphas and numbers and put them to use here.

STB - december 11 2023

December continues in my 2023 STB memory planner. 

This was a strange holiday season. Hubby's recovery from his back surgery took center stage so we didn't do a lot of what we'd normally do. Which was OK. But strange.

Still made neighbor gifts with DD (chocolate covered pretzels - they went over well!). But DS was saddled with the task of cutting our Christmas tree. That was a first. And the best part - we all survived :) 

Loved using Heidi Swapp's STB Christmas supplied in my memory planner.  And as always alpha stamps. And stickers.

 

STB - december 4 2023

We've reached December in my 2023 STB memory planner. woot woot!

Got the snow I'd been hoping for. A quiet week. Hubby home after his OP and incision care began. Unfortunately another uncle passed away. #lungcancersucks And we really didn't do much. But it was kind of fun having space on my page to fill with random stamping for a change. As a lover of white space, I really don't have a lot of it in my pages ;)  Notice how I went totally grid-y on this spread? It's a great method.

STB - november 27 2023

 More November 2023 in my STB memory planner. 

This week was pretty consumed by DH's pre-op, OP and hospital stay. Good news was he was up and moving like the old days after his discectomy.

And can we talk Wordle? Do you Wordle? Do you always start with the same word? I don't. I'm somehow "moved" to start with a different word every day. Took "snowy" this time cuz everywhere else was getting snow (we actually did a couple days later). And it led to an old family dog's name for the win. Crazy eh?

Lots of Heidi Swapp goodies this week. Those dissected word stamps with the little phrases to add to them - love those. How about the vellum file folder for hiding journaling.  And... the Heidi Swapp tiny stamps!

STB - november 20 2023

More November 2023 in my STB memory planner. Slowly but surely we're making our way to year end.

This was a busy week with some health issues, creative time designing a wedding card to match a wedding invitation and a mini-Thanksgiving for us with the kids. Oh and Left Coast Revivals binging. Love that girl.

The next week of November 2023 in my STB memory planner.

A long weekend in France was fun as usual and also got my Christmas season excitement going. 

My next book - The Subtle Art of not Giving a F*ck by Mark Mason. Audiobooks for the win.

Incorporated a brochure from Colmar to cover up some of the busy-ness on the right hand page.

Stamps. Number stickers for dates. And lots of photos in my Heidi Swapp STB memory planner this week.

 

STB - november 6 2023

I've made it to November 2023 in my STB memory planner! 

Wrapping up MI and heading to Germany. Well we tried but got diverted to Boston. With a plane full of Indianapolis fans who were heading to Frankfurt for the Patriots-Colts game. Talk about irony.

And I listened to my first audiobook on that flight - It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. Audiobooks are my thang now!

Incorporated a journal card I made a long time ago. Stamps. Number stickers for dates. And some washi my Heidi Swapp STB memory planner this week.

Bye bye October in my STB memory planner for 2023. 

And bye bye to my kind uncle. So sad. But so glad to be in town for his funeral. Don't you hate it when the only time you see extended family is at a funeral?

STB - october 23 2023

More of October in Michigan in my STB memory planner for 2023. 

Was one of those shopping weeks again ;) Some copper mugs and a rug. Also a family party planned and then cancelled. That was a bummer.

But on a happier note... stash on my memory planner this week included those great, big, plastic alphas, smaller alphas and message board stamp from Heidi Swapp STB. Some stickers. And PP sleeves for housing photo strips. How'd ya like those creepy baby dolls? I loved them. Part of a haunted village at the Sanilac County Historical Museum.

 

STB - october 16 2023

It's the October in northern Michigan in my STB memory planner for 2023. 

Is it a record? Not sure.  I've got over 50 photos housed on this spread.

We went on a quick getaway to the U.P. (IYKYK) and I always want to include so many photos from our trips. I suppose that's why lots of people actually create travel journals/notebooks! To be fair, some of those 4x6s have 15 tiny photos on each. I just tucked them into a pocket made out of a fudge box which I tucked under a coaster from a great restaurant we ate at in Marquette. I like this method of just including the 4x6 cuz it limits the bulk. I create enough bulk in other ways ;)

I journaled letter style on notepaper from the hotel we stayed at and housed that in a sleeve on the lower right. With all those bugs cuz it was great to be up north after the monster bugs were gone :)

Not a lot of stash on my  memory planner this week, though I did color in some outline alphas with colored pencil a la Heidi Swapp!

It's the second week of October 2023 in my STB memory planner as we head into cooler days. 

More busy-ness before heading back to MI.

Gotta love those large plastic alphas from an STB kit. And the tabbed swivel cards. And the letterboard stamp! Not a lot of old stash on my Heidi Swapp memory planner this week.

We've made it into September 2023 in my 2023 STB memory planner. 

Happy 30th to DH and me. We celebrated with a bike ride on a beautiful day. (And lotsa photos tucked under a vellum flap.)

And a mishmash of other events tucked under a PP flap. What a fun addition to a spread - much more real estate for photos (and stickers). Have to do this more often.

Shopping appears to have been in the air this week. Ever happen to you? After months of not looking at a clothing store all of a sudden you get the urge to go shopping? And you even find deals!

Week 2 of August in my 2023 STB memory planner. 

The good, the bad and everything in between this week.

OK are you noticing a pattern? Another spread with a couple round photos ;) Made little pockets to house the not-very-interesting photos and topped them with ancient green alpha stickers. Used a photo of the bride on a belly band to catch the strip of three photos on the right page. And a flap die cut from their wedding program to house my journaling.
