STAMPlorations summer release - layered watermelon

Welcome to day 1 of the STAMPlorations Summer Release. Today's set is gonna make you smile. Tell me what you see first when you look at this new set from Shirley. Meet Layered Watermelon.

I saw the smiley face. This face has been a part of my life since my Grandma bought me a smiley face ring at a rest stop on the Ohio turnpike on the way to a family reunion when I was about 7 years old! Do you see a dog's face in the set too???

An inked circle and heat embossed "eyes" and "smile" made this card. Thanks for the "smile" sentiment Shirley ;)

And then I went all watermelon-y. Using the MISTI I stamped the images a couple times with different colored inks spritzed with some water. Love the artsy look.

And then a watermelon slice in all its glory. I can't decide, but watermelon may just be the most iconic of summer food images... Or would it be a strawberry? Or a popsicle?

Altenew inks
clear embossing powder

All stamps, including the new release are 10% off right now. Please use my STAMPGIRLMARIA discount code for an additional 20% off too!

Shery's offering prizes as always.
