ink smooshing a sympathy card

Did you see this card by Natasha? I'm a total fan of ink smooshing with a black silhouette and thought it would be fun to take it up a notch with that frame idea of hers. So I made this.

Sizzix square die

I kept my colors a bit limited and less rainbow - Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon, Fossilized Amber and Peacock Feathers. Dabbed some onto acetate, spritzed with water and smooshed down onto my cardstock.

Die cut the square frame and popped it up with craft foam. There is a spritz of perfect pearl mix for some shimmer too.

    What a wonderful card. Great smooshing on the background with the prettiest of colours. The frame idea adds another dimension....literally. Loving this one...(sorry about the football x).

    I generally use ink blending with a silhouette image, but you've inspired me to do it with smooshing! Absolutely love the addition of the frame, Maria--gorgeous card!
