winnie and walter 4th birthday - hollywood squares tweeties

I'm celebrating with Winnie and Walter this year for their 4th Birthday Bash! Congrats ladies!

Today's card combines three of the challenges: Keren's Grid , Crystal's Repeat Stamping and Heather's Watercolor with a Twist.

And I wanted to play over at Inspired by all the little Things cuz I love the natural feel yet the somewhat graphic alignment of the baskets and pillows:
watercolors
Polychromos

I may be stretching it, but I'm calling this design a grid ;)

I repeat stamped the frame and using a mask of it also stamped the various birdies.

I watercolored the birdies with two layers and then added my twist of some colored pencil over it to "try" to create a feathery look. Used a yellow Sharpie to color the beaks.

Again, thanks to Winnie and Walter for being such a great company and inspiring with such great challenges! I'll be back with more...

First I'm taking this over to Kathy R's #thedailymarker30day coloring challenge and Penny Black and More where it's about Love, Hearts and Flowers (two outta three ain't bad).

  2. Looks like a grid to me! And those birds...how sweet are they??!! Love all the little tweeties, and how you've left the rest of your card nearly white. The little hearts perfectly accent all the birds. What a fun card! Bev
