winnie and walter 4th birthday - scraps and dies

Howdy peeps! Back with more cards for Winnie and Walter's 4th birthday bash.

Did you see Kelly's challenge - Use Your Scraps ? Well bless your heart, Kelly. I finally tackled the tower of scraps that has been threatening to tumble off my cabinet for the past few months!

Here's what I did with the first pretty scraps I found. Amazing how many WW pieces there were in the pile...

This card started with the negative of the tree from my cards a couple days ago for PTI's birthday bash. Added it over a "stamp off" page from my notebook (though I think this was cleaning up leftover gold embossing paste through a stencil - maybe from this project) cuz I thought that touch of gold through the leaves would look cool. Added a couple leftover sentiments and some leaves.

STAMPlorations love die

Then there was this negative left from this card. Backed it with some leftover watercolored scraps and some more leftover leaves - they were from this card for Winnie and Walter's 2nd birthday!!!

Then I grabbed this black scrap left from die cutting confetti. It also had a circle cut out of the bottom portion so I plugged it with a leftover die cut from this project. Stitched on a leftover vellum sentiment and added a couple more leaves. Yeah. I have a thing for leaves! Oh and a couple sequins seemed to finish it off.

Are you playing? Wouldn't today be a great day to tackle your scrap pile?!? I'm joining the fun at:

  1. Fabulous cards, Maria!!! Love how you used your negative die cuts over some other pieces to make a wonderful arty look. Adding W&W leaves is always a great way to dress things up even more!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your nice comment on my card where I used some of those wonderful W&W leaves and a negative die cut, too! Have a lovely weekend!!!

  8. Amazing, Maria ... you turn even 'scraps' into something (or rather somethings!) so delicious ... I'm particularly taken by the last one ... bold and dramatic with a touch of softness in the stitched vellum sentiment ... yum! Hugs, Anita :)
