christmas with flora and fauna

When I ordered some Flora and Fauna stamps, I just had to get the VW bus die too. My aunt and uncle (and their five kids) had one forever. It's a part of my childhood.

I've seen some gussied up versions over the years, but never any that sparkle. How about you?


Well, now you have. I knew I wanted to use glitter paper and then decided to pair it with plaid for somewhat of a Christmas-y feel. (We had a thermos that was plaid like this and it was a big part of my childhood - filled with lemonade all those weekends up at the lake!)


Used Winter Woodland stamp images (love that sentiment!). Perfect for whimsy, don't you think?

And because I can't throw anything away, you get another sparkly VW bus. Which one would have been your choice back in the day - plaid top or bottom?!?

    Just parked next to you at the CAS Mix Up challenge. Love these two camper vans and the whimsical bird. I'd go for plaid top :)

    ACK! Plaid, glitter AND a camper van - and TWO! LOVE both! I'm not into 'tent' camping, but either of these vans would see me packed up and ready to go in no time! Fantastic!

    OMG Marie, did you every bring back wonderful memories my friend with your super cute and fun plaid and glittery VW bus:-) My husband and I had a used VW camper bus when we were 1st married (52 years ago..oh my)and my folks had a plaid thermos with hot coffee..for ever!

    These cards are so cute! The red plaid is brilliant with the glitter paper on a VW bus!! I laughed out loud - but I do love it and it is perfectly holiday! Excellent work!

    You could probably start a new trend for VW campers with these, Maria ... how much fun is all that sparkle! My fave is the glittery bottom (can I say that ... haha?) ... works so wonderfully with the plaid top! Hugs, Anita :)

    What a wonderful card! I think we had that Thermos, too! I would probably have chosen the top VW van, but you never know. The bottom one is also appealing!
