tweaking the muse

No, not twerking, tweaking. Because Gelli plate prints.

Did you see Michele F.'s lovely array of cards using the camouflage technique over at Muse?

Well inking is fun but Gelli prints are funner. Says me. "You can do this with Gelli prints," says me. Um, not exactly. But here's what I came up with while slightly reducing Mt. Gelli NBUS (as Shirley B. likes to call the pile of prints one ends up with after playing with a Gelli plate ;)

These two were made from one panel of Gelli print sliced into two pieces. Two different takes on camouflaging, the first with the PTI Hello die; the second with Winnie and Walter Hello die and secondary sentiments.

And cuz Michele used this technique for a couple masculine cards, I decided to grab a print that screamed camo-pattern-in-definitely-not-camo-colors and do a embedded-in-a-tropical-island-jungle camouflage technique to create a masculine birthday card. This time with the Winnie and Walter Hugs die. I did ever-so-slightly offset the top layer of the die cut so that a tiny hint of white would peek out. Otherwise "hugs" might have been lost in the jungle forever!

Hope you're liking the onslaught of Gelli prints. Methinks I ain't done yet...

I'm playing at these great challenges too:
Seize the Birthday - Anything Goes (and I've even got The Great Divide thing going on!)
Winnie and Walter - Join In
Colouring Crazy - Brights
Less is More - Citrus (think oranges, lemons and pink grapefruit)
