Mixed Media Card Challenge #21

Well will March bring Spring or more Winter? We shall see. My daffodils and hyacinths appear to be betting on the former. Whatever, we have a Springy challenge at the Mixed Media Card Challenge this month.


Ready for some CASSY?


Definitely CAS. And messy cuz I had made a panel using the Make it Monday technique of watercolor resist over rubber cement, so I took a strip of it for this card - thus my "technique".

I traced through ARTplorations Leaf  Prints with a Sharpie, creating abstract trees and added a felt birdie and some sequins for "dimension".

I stamped a PTI Keep it Simple Birthday sentiment and voila! Join us at the MMCC won't you?

ETA: Have to join opening day over at Loll and Bonnie's new challenge CAS Mix Up cuz I've used stamping, watercoloring and stencils on this CAS card.

    Great card design showing that Mixed Media can indeed be 'CAS' as well! Pretty stenciled trees and colorful side panel!

    Loving the CAS and mixed media combination. Fabulous colours and fun technique. I never think to trace inside the stencil so thank you for the inspiration. Beautiful card.

    Those vibrant colours in that gorgeous resist panel pop so beautifully against the crisp white and delicate lines of the trees, Maria ... that little felt bird is such a sweet and texture-y touch ... yummy! Hugs, Anita :)

    Maria, this is ultra cool in every way! Tracing the leaves, then pairing them with that colourful panel...swoon-inducing! Talk about CAS-ilicious in a most marvelous way!
