loll's twelve tags of christmas

Had to get inky and make a tag for the fun over at Loll's Twelve Tags of Christmas party. So many fun mixed media tags to enjoy - check it out.

Here's mine.

It all began with that wire star I picked up at Aldi! That led to Broken China and Picket Fence Distress Stains on a manila tag for the BG. Then I heat embossed some snowflakes clear. Then I stenciled some Peacock Feathers through a stencil (reminds me of an angel's wing) and added some more around the edges. Then I heat embossed a few more snowflakes clear. Then some watered-down white paint splatters. And finally, a die cut PTI and stamped MFT sentiment.

I'm also joining the Seeing Stars challenge at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.

Thanks for looking.

  4. The star ... so beautiful, and so unique ... and the perfect embellishment to inspire your gorgeous tag. Your layered background is amazing Maria! LOVE the shades of blue with the icy embossed snowflakes. And the stenciling --- gorgeous --- it really does look like angel's wings. Thanks so much for playing along with my Christmas tag event!! 11. Wow, what a beautiful tag! I can feel the biting wind blowing swirling all those pretty snowflakes across the sky! The inking is just amazing, I love the how subtle snowflakes are but you don't miss them either and the sentiment-oh that sentiment, what all good people of the world wish for! Hugs, Brenda
