day 1 of STAMPlorations november release hop

It's stamp release month at STAMPlorations! Every day in the next 5 days, the other STAMPlorations girls and I will be sharing projects we created featuring the new stamps. Comment on all the stops on the hop for a chance to win.

FIVE (5) lucky hoppers randomly drawn from the designers' blogs will each win a stamp set from the November release and ONE (1) lucky hopper randomly drawn from the STAMPlorations blog will win a $25 gift certificate to use towards products in the STAMPlorations shop. You have until Tuesday, November 25, 11:55 p.m. PST (GMT -800) to comment here and on my fellow designers' posts for a chance to win. Winners will be announced on the STAMPlorations blog on Friday, November 28.

Today, we're putting the spotlight on Rosebuds, the stamp set designed by Shirley Bampton. We'll be picking one commenter to win this set so leave a comment here and on the rest of the STAMPlorations girls' posts for a chance to win the set.

Here's what I did, first using the stem of the single bud and the leaves.

Thinking outside the box, I was. And totally inspired by an amazing card I saw here. I stamped the "branches". I inked up the reverse side of the leaf stamp and stamped first and second-generation images. Then I spritzed it all with a water/Perfect Pearls mix to make it bleed a bit. Plus it gets a great shimmer. Finally I flipped the stamp back to the "correct" side and added a few of the leaf outlines too. The sentiment comes from Sentiment Builders: Christmas and Sentiment Builders: Celebrate and was stamped with Memento brown ink, then offset heat embossed clear.

Then I ventured even further out of the box and had some fun with those lines. Ready?

Graphic and rainbow colors. Makes me happy. That sweet sentiment from the set and a touch of heart border in vellum topped with a gold heart finishes it off.

I won't keep you any longer. Thanks for stopping by. Now hop along.

  9. I'm absolutely in love with your autumn leaves card, Maria! I just love those subdued fall colors at the moment. However, your abstract interpretation of the flower stems (or is it a bale of straw?) is so clever. It took me some time to realize that you stamped them to the letters XOXO, but then I was even more amazed.

  30. There must be something about rainbow. Colours probably, but the vellum hearts and a little red one, make it stand out and be gorgeous.
Autumn is warm (if it is not rainy), I love colours and the whole placement of stampes on a card.
    Great job.
