2 down, 38 to go (Colour Q)

I'm going to take you on a journey with me. I may have mentioned awhile back that we are having a big shindig in September to celebrate "161 years" (all our birthdays plus anniversary plus Ellie's 1st).

So... time to get my butt in gear and make some invitations.  As in, 40. As in, sheesh, 40.

So... I've decided that there's no reason all invitations have to look alike :) I'm going to use various challenges to inspire me to try different designs. And you get to watch :)

I've taken the colors from Colour Q #244 for these two.

I prefer the first, DD the second.  And you? Thanks for coming by.

Supplies for party time:

  5. The first one is more party colours - looking forward to seeing the next 38! (Great idea BTW to make them different - saves getting bored making the same design). Also, just seen your MANY published cards in PC&S - you absolutely rocked the texture paste section!

  6. First, I am sooooo with you on making variety invitations! Mass producing = yuck (for me!) Last Christmas I made 90 tags for my sister-in-law to give to her staff/volunteers, and I worked in bundles of 6 (and even then, they had differences). At Valentine's, I made 30 some Valentine's - no repeats. So, applauding you for going with different and marrying them to challenges. Your cards both catch my eye...pretty and definitely fun!! Looking forward to the next 38!!

  9. Aye yai yai--40? You'll be busy, but that's awesome you'll be making them! I laze out and do all-digital for invites. ;) I love that they will all of your invitations will be different, too. The colors and design are fab! I love the bold die-cuts (the tangerine is especially yummy).
