ETA: I'm tickled pink. Cath over at Moxie Fab included this card in a lineup of Christmas cards she's pinned. And you need to check out the lineup. Cardmaking goddesses. And moi in their midst. With the sloping "Merry". Someone pick me up off the floor!!
Here's an entry for Make it Monday #137. At least this time it's a dimensional part-of-a-wreath.
Wanted to channel my inner Cristina K.
How'd I do?
Not likin' the pink hue to the glitter, and the "merry" is sliding down the slope but oh well.
Supplies merry christmas:
Paper: cardbase The Paper Studio
Stamps: PTI
Ink: Hero Arts, Versafine
Tools: leaf die PTI, square die Sizzix
Other: sequins
Oh Maria, it's wonderful! I liked the peek, then saw the top part of the whole card and said to myself "wow" then *gasp* when I saw the sentiment! I just love the use of two colors there and the dry embossed frame is perfect! That's a technique I've yet to master - every time I try it I wind up cutting through the paper with my die. I just gotta play with slips of cardstock or something as a cushion until I find the right formula. Excellent work!!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. Love the simplicity and the pop of color with the sequin and the merry. Great card.

ReplyDeleteWe are all our worst critics - it's a stunning card and I love that you are pointing out pinkish glitter and sloping "Merry"! I pulled that wreath out for a fall card for a post tomorrow - I truly hadn't thought of it for Christmas, but you have totally inspired me - I'll be CASing!
