So DH will be getting this soon (actually works well considering our approaching trip to the USA).
Don't look too closely or you'll see a wonky and slightly smeared sentiment... Wida M., any cures for that?Just love the colors together and the effect achieved by trimming out the edge.
I'm parking at CFC #106 and CAS on Sunday One-Layer.
I'll be back tomorrow with this card's cousin. Couldn't get enough of the color combo! And just keep watching...next week I'll be starting my Parade of Rejects - publication wannabees that weren't!
Supplies happy birthday:
Paper: Bringmann
Stamps: sentiment PTI
Ink: Distress Ink, Versafine
Tools:star die Sizzix, scissors
Other: Post-It, makeup sponge
Thud! This is so perfect! love the inking techniques...it looks windswept...like the sentiment ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nod to my fruity lil creation. It was an a-ha kinda cardmaking moment but I'll be using that kind of edge again
This card is cool, really neat effect! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, fabulous! Love the colour combo and the shaped edge.
ReplyDeleteFantastic look with those inks!
ReplyDeleteI love your card Maria, really like how you have done the stars - both the colour and the cut out at the bottom. Thank you for the comment you left on my blog re: cardstock. Docrafts don't do cardstock in sheets but I do like their card bases - thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis is so fabulous! I love how you did the stars! Awesome! Thanks so much for playing along with us over at CAS-ual Fridays!
ReplyDeleteLovely coloring the star and I love your nice sentiment...perfect CAS card and one layer card...the one who get this card would be so glad I believe it....beautifully done..
ReplyDeleteI am joining also the CAS on sunday challenge...I would be glad if you could visit my blog and leave some love..my card is number 20 to help you to find me..many thanks before..hugs, Monika from Germany
Well, your stars are wonky and smudgy, so they match perfectly with your title, right?! It was meant to be! Your stars look so dainty holding up the card, and that red and blue together is very striking. Save your rejects for another call, why not? It's worked several times for me. I pull the plug after the second try though : )
ReplyDeleteWhoops, I neglected to thank you for joining the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge. Just got carried away I guess : )
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great card using some very cool inking and fussy cutting! Being from the USA, I have to admit that I ADORE this card! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteYour two toned stars are fabulous...I may have to steal or borrow ( that sounds better) this idea. So glad you linked it up with us at CAS on Sunday...or I would have missed it. Thanks for playing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat and colorful edge with the stars
ReplyDeleteI saw this on CAS-ual Fridays this week and came to see. I love the look of those stars!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super cool effect on the stars, Maria! And regarding the rejects, why don't you wait a bit and give them another chance? I've had several rejections picked up for publication the second time I submitted them. You never know... :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us this week at CAS-ual Fridays!
super cool and beautiful card, Maria!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with us at CAS-ual Fridays
