europe cup 2016

I couldn't have given DH a better present than this... to have the Europe Cup happening at the time of his birthday! He's an avid fan. To put it mildly. Ask him who shot the winning goal of the game blah blah blah in 19blahblah and he can probably tell ya! But don't ask him while he's watching a game on TV or he might bite your head off ;)

Anyhoo, I was in the red, yellow and blue mode making my creations for STAMPlorations' 3rd Birthday celebrations and they reminded me of the colors of the German flag (currently hanging next to our TV in the living room cuz... Europe Cup ;) So I whipped out my CUTplorations Birthday die and created this.

Dry embossed a Crazy Double Stitched Rectangle into my cardbase. Stamped a secondary sentiment using Vignette: Chevron and Arrows and a little party poochie (like our Ellie) before adding the three offset die cuts to the card. Voila!

Good thing there was no game on the day of his birthday so we could celebrate. Now to see if Germany can beat France tonight?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I'm joining the fun at A Blog Named Hero - Masculine.
And Seize the Birthday - no toppings today

Starting to think about summer vacay in Michigan. Yippie!!!!! Have a good day, friends.

Brilliant design--bet your hubby loved it! I've never thought to use 3 colors with a die cut word, but now I want to try it! Good luck with the Cup--cheering for Germany as hubby is 1/2 German & was stationed there many years ago when he was in the Army!

Ha, ha, Maria, seems you're talking about MY hubby and MY living room today. :o) On top, my daughter drew some German flags and banners that she distributed everywhere around our home. Love your card! The tri-colored birthday is fab and the little dog so cute.

Love how the sentiment turned out - whenever I try a wonky one deliberately I end up lining them up because I'm a bit of a neat freak! Sorry about the football :( xx

Hahahaha! I have a husband/sports fanatic like that, too!
LOVE your card - it's really perfect and I'm sure he loved it. I also am sure he loves that you know the correct time to give it to him (i.e. not during the game!). LOL

My husband is the same way with formula 1 racing. I love the look of the layered birthday die. The uncolored dog is a perfect addition.

Eeek, Maria ... there must've been disappointment at your house at the end of the match ... at least your DH had this fun card to smile at! Love the cool stacked tri coloured sentiment ... and that cute partying pooch! Final in a few hours ... still no TV! Hugs, Anita :)
