make it monday 251

Well I totally missed the last PTI blog hop. I think I missed the last release too! But, I caught wind of this week's MIM and had to give it a try.

Enter Zig Clean Color brush pens and PTI Mighty Oak die.

Colored a panel of watercolor CS with gradient tones of blue and gray (at the bottom). Blended with water and a brush. Die cut and adhered to a Soft Stone cardbase. Added a strip of blue to the right edge and a sentiment from Meadow Greens, intending this to be a sympathy card.

A fun technique. What I discovered (you can see on my Instagram) was kinda cool. I splattered water onto my blended panel while it was still damp. The water droplets spread into little star shapes. You can barely see it on a couple of the leaves on this card, But the technique would be cool for night sky BGs too!

Have a great day!

Hi Maria

Thank you for stopping by. I am dazzled by the blue ombre tree and the sentiment matches the tree so well. Would you mind to let me know which brand carries the sentiment stamp? Danke :)
P.S I have visited Germany couple of time in the past 7 years, lived with my friends for a month in Frankfurt, Berlin, Heidelberg, Hannover and Hamburger. Lovely cities and I love the manholes on the street! Each city has a different one and they all look like a piece of art!

It's absolutely stunning. I love the blues you chose and I can so see those starbursts - they're like the perfect highlights on your leaves.

Gorgeous, that ombre tree of yours with the star-sparkly droplets! If this is what Zigs can do, I'd better start practicing more (maybe *grin*)
