and i think to myself, what a moxie fab world (Moxie Fab)

First things first - ya had to peel me off the ceiling when I received an email from Cath, Ms. Moxie Fab herself, inviting me to be a Moxie Fabber of the Week.  Me?  No way.  Seriously?  Permagrin.

Big HUGE hug going out to Ms. Moxie Fab and all of you who stop by here and make my day with your lovely comments.  Seriously.  I love being able to play with paper and ink, but truthfully, it's even more fun when people like what you do ;)

So, back to our regularly scheduled programming... Where do you get your inspiration?  Ever find it at Amazon?  I did.  A set of bowls.  See, folks, it's all around you.  And turns out these puppies are even in the MoMA store so they must be cool, eh?

So my brain went from bowls to negative die cuts.  Yep.

Thought it was interesting that the designer for this set from Joseph Joseph decided to go with a GBIVROY rainbow, so I picked up my oval dies and hit my scrap paper stash.  GBIVROY it was.

Had a couple leftover sentiments printed on vellum from this card and went with the one in the flowing CK Cursive font cuz it contrasts nicely with the bold graphic shapes.  And cuz I was too lazy to go upstairs to the PC and print out my original idea "you fill me... " to follow on the inside with "with pride".  Yep.

So I'm going full circle on this one.  Playing in the Emphasize the Negative challenge over at Moxie Fab! Love this "technique".  And this moxie fab world we find ourselves in.

So nice of you to stop by.

Supplies for love your guts:
Paper: cardbase Craft UK, black CS American Crafts, scrap, vellum The Paper Company
Stamps:  sentiment font CK Cursive
Ink :
Tools: dies Sizzix
Other: adhesive, dimensional adhesive

EEEEK ... where to start, I'm just so excited!!! Maria F, you should be so darn proud of your interview and spotlight on Moxie Fab World today! You really represented yourself well, showcasing some fabulous cards, and including some really insightful points (which I commented on at MFW) on the creative process and our completely rewarding hobby. And I was so happy to see your face! You must have been so close to bursting waiting for the article to post. I really don't know what to say about your mention of me ... I was completely taken aback, shocked, and thrilled, all in the same second after I realized what had just happened : ) So honored!

Then you post this stunner of a card! The subtle patterned paper, the rainbow starting in the middle, the sentiment bridge ... it's all so wonderful. Bravo, Maria F.!

I just love how life works out. Yesterday I scrolled down your blog, as you know, and it took me RIGHT up to the post before this post which is about when I left so I stopped there, filled with all the creations you've done since this post.

Then, just now, as I was looking through some fave challenges to plan a card, I went over to Tuesday Trigger to see what the trig is this week, and saw the emerald dress, meh, looked away, looked back and there, wait. What? Maria F? Is that MY Maria F?! Moxie Fabbing her fabbing smile right out of the salad bar at me?!! Squee!!

What an honor and so well-deserved, Maria! And what a thoughtful and inclusive and delightful interview you gave for all your fans! I feel blessed to be one of them!! I'm so excited, you'd think it was me got thrill, haha!!

But shame on you. I asked in my first post back for everyone to let me know if I missed anything. Hell to the yeah, I missed something in your world!! But that's okay, the universe made sure I saw it. Love ya! Keep on rockin' it!!
