one-layer washi get well (PC, KIS)

Turquoise and yellow - that's what the new challenge blog "Keep it Simple" wants.  See why?

Had an idea to use some washi and do some die cutting. Lucky I have "several" yellow washi tapes...

Channeling my inner Cristina K., I tried my darndest to keep this a single-layer card but give it lots of interest!

Adhered washi to scrap paper and die cut butterfly.  Die cut turquoise oval and oval out of white panel.  Die cut butterfly from the turquoise oval and stamped it with some chevrons - for interest.  Put the puzzle pieces back together, leaving the wing tips and antennae unglued - for a bit more interest.  Stamped sentiment with a shadow - even more interest? - and couldn't resist a few sequins.   Still one-layer, still mailable ;)

Also adding this to the November gallery at Paper Crafts Connection - all about decorative tape this month.

Thanks for coming by.

I love your washi tape butterfly, it's beautiful! This really is a CAS card, though it has some embellishment - and that's what I like.
Thanks for joining us at keep it simple!,

What a beautiful card! You are so lucky that you got yellow washi tape - that is missing in my stash! Really love the combination of the washi tapes and that you die cut them! Great card!
Thanks so much for playing along with us at KEEP IT SIMPLE! Hope to see your cards in the coming challenges!

Now THIS is a brilliant use of Washi tape and it's going straight in my faves folder!! I won a gift cert from a company that carries, basically, only Washi tape so I, of course, got some, but I'm not a big fan. (Altho the twinks do love it!) So thank you for giving me inspiration for a wonderful way to use it!

Danke fürs mitmachen bei keep it simple!

Amazing puzzle piecing work!! I'm sure it looks incredible in person, being so flat! Great colors too.
