adios CPS, ola old back porch (Ellen Hutson, CPS, 52)

Maybe next year I'll reconsider going on vacation when it's WCMD!  Just kidding.  But it's marathon cardmaking this week with all the mindstretching challenges going on out there and the fact that we have another week of fall break...

Finally broke out my coveted PS Reflections stamp set.  Was enthralled with all the wonderful creations I saw in blogland when this set came out, most of all this card from Jenny M.  Here is my first creation using the set.

Stamped the random BG on kraft.  Attached to card base and stitched.  Die cut hexagons.  Stamped randomly with white polka dots (see detail photo) then multiple times with the bloom in various violet tones.  Added faux stitching around edges with Cutter Bee and black marker.  Stamped sentiment and drew black circle around it (notice pillowcases in Pinterest photo).

Entering this to Ellen Hutson's Classroom Pinterest Inspired Challenge.  Here is the photo from Chari M.

Also hooking up to 52 Card Pickup at The Old Back Porch one last time.  And it was from Patrice's use of CPS Sketch #285 that I loosely got my idea for the layout.

I haven't played over there for awhile, but since it's the farewell challenge and you can use any sketch you'd like I decided to hook this up.  There are some great sketch ideas over there for future reference.

Have a great day.  Make a card!
